US urged to recognise the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

KABUL (SW) – Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has urged the US to recognize the Islamic Emirate rule in Afghanistan as per the Doha Agreement.

He said this in one of the Hussainiyas in Kabul on Monday where he was speaking among the Hussaini mourners. He severely criticized the pressure of the United States of America on the Islamic Emirate. He said that the United States of America has applied various political and economic pressures on the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate.

The political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the United States of America, in addition to its pressure on the caretaker government of Afghanistan, has also pressured other countries not to have relations with this government.

“When America left Afghanistan, it damaged the Kabul airport and even destroyed our civil planes. In the same way, it does not want us to use our monetary support, it blocked the banking system, and America also put pressure on other countries to not establish relations with the government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan”.

Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai also criticized the US airstrike in the Shirpur region of Kabul and said that this attack, which resulted in the death of several people, is a violation of the Doha Agreement. Although Stankzai did not mention the exact number of those killed and their identities in this attack, the United States announced that Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of the al-Qaeda network, was killed in this attack.

The political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that according to the Doha Agreement, the United States should recognize the current government of Afghanistan and participate in the reconstruction of Afghanistan.

However, in the commemoration ceremony of the 10th day of Muharram, Mohammad Ehsani, one of the Afghan Shia elders, called for the reopening of girls’ schools.

“As a Muslim, we cannot ignore the role of women’s education in development, so I hope that the field of education for girls will be paved soon.”

This is despite the fact that only a few days are left for the one-year anniversary of the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate government in Afghanistan; But so far no country has recognized this government.
