Islamic Emirate unable to earn international recognition

KABUL (SW) – It has been exactly a year since the Taliban regained power in Kabul to establish the Islamic Emirate, but they continue to wait for recognition at the international level.

A year that passed was full of challenges for the citizens of the country. But analysts do not consider this year to be without challenges for the Islamic Emirate authorities either. According to them, after coming to power, the Islamic Emirate has not been able to gain international legitimacy in the field of politics despite efforts and it has not been recognized by any country so far.

Wahid Faqiri, analysts on political issues, told Salam Watandar that the Islamic Emirate has not fulfilled the commitments it made to the international community during the past year.

On the other hand, Kamal Sadat, another expert on political issues and youth representative in the republican system, said that the lack of domestic legitimacy is considered one of the factors that have prevented the Islamic Emirate from gaining international legitimacy.

The non-recognition of the Islamic Emirate by the world community has caused people to face difficult economic problems.

After the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, many foreign and domestic investors withdrew their capital from the country, Afghanistan’s state assets were closed in foreign banks, international trust was withdrawn from the local Afghan banks, and the aid that was previously given to the government and people of Afghanistan was also withdrawn.

However, Abadullah Naseri, a university professor and an expert on economic issues, calls the international community’s connection important for the reconstruction of Afghanistan’s economy. He added that Afghanistan cannot meet its needs from domestic resources without international support.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Emirate considers the complete acquisition of the country’s geography and 100% security as a great achievement in the past year, but even so, tribal and religious leaders and government institutions are attacked every now and then in the capital and provinces of the country.

Yusuf Amin Zazi, an expert on military issues, said though the Islamic Emirate assures the provision of security but everyone is worried about the existence of terrorist groups and terrorist activities.

We tried to get the views of the spokesmen of the Islamic Emirate in this regard but our repeated calls were not answered.
