MONITORING (SW) – The Meteorological Department has warned of torrential rains and flash floods in the coming days.
It issued a statement warning of the possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms, hurricanes and floods in 27 provinces of the country.
According to the department, from today to Wednesday it is likely to rain in Badghis, Ghor, Faryab, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Samangan, Baghlan, Takhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Bamyan, Daikundi, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Parwan provinces.
Similar forecast has been issued for Panjshir, Kapisa, Nuristan, Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kabul, Logar, Paktia, Paktika and Khost.
The meteorological department has forecast rainfall in different places between 20 and 60 mm.
