Da Afghanistan Bank to auction $ 13 million

KABUL (SW) – Da Afghanistan Bank, central reserves bank, has announced to auction further $ 13 million in the open market on Sunday.

The DAB has announced in a press release that it will auction about $ 13 million in a bid to sustain the value of the afghani. According to the bank’s newsletter, a bid to sell this amount of dollars is scheduled for Sunday.

The DAB has asked banks and monetary services companies to participate in this bid.

On Saturday, one US dollar was traded for a little over 87 afghanis.

With the rise to power of the Islamic Emirate, the value of the afghani saw decline well above 100 for one dollar, which later got some stability.
