Landsliding claims three lives in Maidan Wardak

MAIDAN CITY (SW) – At least three people got killed and two more injured following a landsliding in Maidan Wardak province on Tuesday, confirmed officials.

Local officials in Maidan Wardak say a landslide on a residential house in Daimirdad district of the province has killed three people and injured two others.

Din Mohammad Haqqani, the district governor of Daimirdad, told Salam Watandar that the incident took place this morning, in which three people, including a woman and two children, were killed and two others were injured.

The district governor of Daimirdad added that the injured were taken out from under the rubble and taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, Zarak Zirak, head of the Maidan Wardak Public Hospital, said the injured had been taken to the hospital, but that their condition was worrying.
