Islamic Emirate appoints women representative in Badakhshan

FAIZABAD (SW) – A woman has been picked for the first time since the recent developments in the country by the Islamic Emirate to represent the Badakhshan women.

Badakhshan Director of Information and Culture, Moazuddin Ahmadi said on this occasion that women can serve in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan ranks in all sectors, even in the military and security sectors.

Ahmadi added that the Islamic Emirate had set up a specific platform for women in the province so that they could identify their challenges and share them with local officials.

Meanwhile, Nisa Mobarez, the newly introduced representative for women in Badakhshan, said that women in the previous government, despite having valid and high educational degrees, could not achieve good jobs and make a living this way.

The Badakhshan women’s representative promised to collect female drug addicts in the province from the city of Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan, and provide them with better jobs after treatment.

At this occasion, Shir Ahmad Javad, head of the Badakhshan Promotion of the Good and the Prohibition of the Evil, spoke about freedom of women in the government of the Islamic Emirate and stressed that women should not violate Islamic values.

On the other hand, Shohra Temna, a woman in Badakhshan, expressed her satisfaction with the program of promoting women in the province and stressed that the real voice of women should be conveyed to the authorities from this platform.

It is said that the newly introduced representative for Badakhshan women has a duty to cooperate with national and international institutions from the position of women and to provide them with employment assistance and opportunities.
