Religious scholars donate blood for ANDSF

JALALABAD (SW) – An array of religious leaders and scholars donated blood for the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces battling mounting assaults by the Taliban.

These figures from a number of eastern provinces gathered in Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar province to express support and solidarity with the ANDSF.

Speaking to the journalists, these scholars condemned the ongoing war in the country and called on the Taliban to give up the war and submit to the ceasefire. Announcing their support for the security forces, they said they would be with them at every step.

Mawlawi Ghazi Gul Shinwari, one of the scholars participating in the gathering, called the current war in the country as a war of foreign countries whose victims are the citizens of Afghanistan. He expressed pride in demonstrating support for the country with by donating blood for the ANDSF.

Shinwari called the Taliban ‘Khwarijs’ and said the group should not threaten Afghan citizens with death by hijacking the holy slogan of ‘Allahu Akbar’.

Ajabgul Safi, director of ideological and cultural affairs at the 201 Sailab Corps, thanked the religious scholars for their support of the security and defense forces

Scholars at the rally chanted “Death to the Taliban, Iran and Pakistan” and called on the international community to put more pressure on the Taliban to stop the bloodshed in Afghanistan.
