HCNR announces delegates for Moscow conference

KABUL (SW) – The High Council for National Reconciliation has issued a list of 16 delegates to leave for Russia for the proposed peace conference in Moscow.

Among the delegates include the HCNR chief Abdullah Abdullah, former president Hamid Karzai, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, Abdul Rasheed Dostum and others.

A member of the HCNR, Shahzada Shahid, told Salam Watandar the agenda for the proposed conference is not clear, however, delegates and representatives of a number of countries would share views on the peace process.

The Chinese Embassy in Kabul has announced Beijing would also dispatch its representative to the conference in the Russian capital.

A day earlier, the Taliban’s Qatar office spokesman Mohammad Naeem announced the group’s deputy leader Mulla Abdul Ghani Baradar would attend the moot.
