KABUL (SW) – Amrullah Saleh, first vice president, has vowed to equip Kabul with advanced surveillance cameras for security purposes.

In a latest Facebook post, Saleh said that the installation of these security cameras is being supported by the country’s international allies.

“Now, that technology has advanced significantly, it has been decided that Kabul will be better covered than ever before – with more advanced technology and hidden security cameras,” Saleh said. The VP stressed that this action will narrow the field of activity for terrorists and thieves in Kabul.

According to Saleh, the last time security cameras were properly installed in Kabul was in 2008.

This comes amid string of terrorist attacks and rampant street crimes terrorizing residents of the capital city.
