Second wave of Covid-19: 18 lives lost in past 24 hours

KABUL (SW) – Amid the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, at least 18 infected people lost their lives in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health confirmed.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, some 213 people have recently contracted the virus out of the 1,401 patients tested in the past 24 hours. During the same period, 71 got recovered after contracting the virus.

These figures have been gathered from 18 provinces across the country.

A report by the Ministry of Public Health showed that since the beginning of the spread of the corona virus, 48,753 people across the country have been infected and 1,939 people have lost their lives due to the infection. It added as many as 38,221 people have been treated so far.
