GHAZNI CITY (SW) – An explosion in Ghanzi province killed at least 15 civilians and injured 20 others, an official confirmed.
The Ministry of Interior spokesman, Tariq Arian, said in a statement that a motorcycle exploded at a residential home in Gilan district killing 15 people and injuring 20 others. He added a gathering for the recitation of the Holy Quran was underway at the time of the attack.
The provincial governor’s spokesman Wahidullah Jumazada said most of the victims are children.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack.
