MONITORING (SW) – Victims of the Kabul University carnage were remembered at a candle vigil in the Iranian capital Tehran.
A number of Iranian citizens and students paid homage to the victims of the Daesh-claimed terrorist attack and commemorated the third day of their death. The Iranian students carried the flags of the two countries together in solidarity.
At least 22 people were killed and about 40 others wounded in the hours long complex attack on Monday.
Meanwhile, The Tehran Municipality also expressed its condolences to the families of the victims of the attack on Kabul University by installing posters throughout the capital city. The mayor of Tehran also lit the Freedom Tower with the lights of tri-color Afghan flag.
The event was also attended by Abdul Ghafoor Liwal, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Tehran, and Dr. Barzin Zarghami, head of the Tehran Beautification Organization.
