Iran’s Revolutionary Guards warned they would block all oil shipments from the Middle East if U.S. and Israeli attacks continue.

According to Reuters, the Revolutionary Guards said on Tuesday they would not allow “one litre of oil” to be shipped from the region if attacks persist.

Earlier, President Donald Trump responded on Monday, warning the U.S. would hit Iran much harder if it tried to close the Strait of Hormuz, a key chokepoint handling about one-fifth of the world’s oil supply.

The conflict has disrupted global energy markets. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed for over a week, halting tanker traffic and forcing producers to cut output. Oil prices first surged after Mojtaba Khamenei’s appointment but later fell following Trump’s prediction of a quick resolution and potential easing of Russian energy sanctions.
