My name is Hangama Jamshidi. I am a graduate of Law and currently work at one of the online universities. My introduction to artificial intelligence dates back several years, when I was applying for a scholarship. One of the requirements was to submit a letter of recommendation written by the applicants themselves. To complete this task, I asked a friend for help.
That friend introduced me to artificial intelligence and explained the advantages and conveniences it offers. She shared a link to the platform so that I could explore it myself. At first, I was not very familiar with it, and I did not yet have a particularly positive view of this advanced technology. However, my first experience using artificial intelligence exposed me to something entirely new—an impressive combination of speed, efficiency, and capability.
That moment marked the true beginning of my journey with artificial intelligence. What started as a simple need—to write a letter of recommendation—soon became an introduction to a technology that is unprecedented in the history of human innovation. That experience opened a new chapter in my life.
With each passing day, my familiarity with this technology has grown. I now use it in various programs. Gradually, I have discovered more of the conveniences and practical benefits that artificial intelligence provides to its users.
Of course, alongside its many advantages, there are also challenges and potential negative consequences, especially when AI is used excessively or without clear structure. These concerns should not be ignored. Young users, in particular, need to approach this technology thoughtfully and responsibly.
Although my first encounter with artificial intelligence was simply for writing a recommendation letter, over time it has become a part of my everyday routine. Today, I use it extensively. It has become a constant collaborator and an always-available guide. I make a conscious effort to use this technology in ways that enhance my career path.
At the same time, we must remember that excessive reliance on artificial intelligence—delegating all tasks to it without reflection—can weaken human creativity and critical thinking. This issue is especially important for the younger generation, who engage with this technology more than ever before. Overdependence may slow the development of their talents and limit the growth of their creativity.
For this reason, youths and new users should be careful about how they use artificial intelligence and be clear about the purposes for which they employ it, in order not to be adversely affected by its negative impacts.
When used purposefully and in a structured way, artificial intelligence can help youths achieve meaningful goals. It has created remarkable opportunities, particularly for language learners. Anyone interested in learning a new language can benefit from this technology, often progressing more quickly and with greater accuracy.
However, we should never place absolute trust in AI-generated information. Its outputs must be evaluated carefully and used selectively. Creativity and independent thinking should not be forgotten. Unfortunately, it is sometimes observed that students delegate their academic and research responsibilities entirely to AI platforms, which is a concerning trend.
