Nearly 2,000 Afghan citizens deported from Iran and Pakistan

The High Commission for Addressing Migrant’ Problems announced that Iran and Pakistan have deported 1,761 Afghan citizens.

The commission wrote on their X today (Tuesday, 20th Jan) that these individuals returned to Afghanistan yesterday through the border crossings of Islam Qala in Herat, Pul-e-Abresham in Nimroz, Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Torkham in Nangarhar, and Bahramcha in Helmand.

According to the Commission for Addressing Migrants’ Problems, returnees from Iran and Pakistan have been provided with aid.

The deportation of Afghan migrants from Iran and Pakistan is ongoing, with thousands being returned to Afghanistan each day through the countries’ shared border crossings.

Earlier, the Ministry of Refugees of the Islamic Emirate announced that nearly seven million Afghan citizens have returned from neighboring countries over the past four years.
