UNICEF empowers 18,000 community-based classes across Afghanistan

The Afghanistan section of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced its support for 18,000 community-based educational classes.

In a statement on X, UNICEF revealed that this support was provided throughout the past year (2024).

UNICEF added that students in various provinces of Afghanistan have acquired reading, writing, and other skills through participation in these classes.

Previously, UNICEF’s Afghanistan office had pledged its commitment to providing community-based educational services to children and adolescents in the country.
