Local authorities in Badakhshan have reported that a traffic accident along the road to the Argo district has resulted in two deaths and five injuries.
Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for the Badakhshan Police Command, stated that earlier on Monday, a taxi car veered off the road and plunged into a ravine in the “Kotal Hazara-e-Sar-e-Dara” area.
According to Kamgar, the incident led to two fatalities and left five others injured, including two women and a child.
The vehicle had been traveling from the “Bidak” village towards “Wahdat” city when it lost control due to a mechanical failure, particularly in the brake system, causing it to overturn.
The injured individuals have been transported to local medical facilities for treatment, and some of their conditions are reported to be critical.
