Afghanistan’s most vulnerable populations to benefit from $3M South Korean aid

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced that South Korea has donated $3 million to Afghanistan.

In a statement, the UNHCR added that this aid will be used to assist internally displaced persons, returnees, and vulnerable communities in Afghanistan.

The UNHCR also mentioned that the donation will provide permanent housing for 2,800 returnees to Afghanistan.

Additionally, 34,000 Afghan citizens will receive psychological and psychosocial services with this contribution.

South Korea has previously provided assistance to Afghanistan’s Humanitarian Fund and the World Food Programme’s Afghanistan section.
