The Ministry of Repatriations and Refugees (MoRR) under the Islamic Emirate has announced that 42 Afghan citizens have been released from the “Haji Camp” prison in Pakistan.
In a statement shared on X on Saturday, the ministry confirmed that these individuals were freed two days ago and have returned to Afghanistan.
The ministry explained that these Afghan nationals were detained in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, for lacking legal documentation.
“They were imprisoned for a period ranging from two to five days,” the statement said.
Additionally, the MoRR mentioned that the group of released detainees includes both women and children.
Last week, a number of Afghan citizens were also released from the Haji Camp prison and returned to Afghanistan.
