The Economic Deputy Office of the Islamic Emirate’s Prime Minister’s Office has announced that the National Procurement Commission has approved contracts for 17 projects valued at approximately 3 billion afghanis.
According to a statement released on the deputy office’s X account, these contracts were approved during a regular meeting of the National Procurement Commission, chaired by Abdul Ghani Baradar, acting deputy prime minister.
The approved and modified contracts include the construction of a transport terminal in Kabul’s Arghandi; the establishment of a truck station in Guzara district of Herat; the renovation of the Aqina-Andkhoy and Torghundi railway projects; the expansion of the fiber optic network in Kandahar, Helmand, and Farah; the reconstruction of several roads in Kabul city; and the completion of remaining electrical projects in various provinces.
The National Procurement Commission has previously approved contracts for several projects as well.
