Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting foreign minister of the Islamic Emirate, has asserted that no country is threatened by Afghanistan’s soil.
Zia Ahmad Takal, the deputy spokesman for the ministry, shared this in a statement on his X account. He mentioned that Muttaqi made this statement during a meeting with Vikram Misri, the Deputy Foreign Minister of India.
According to the statement, the Islamic Emirate de-facto government aims to strengthen political and economic relations with India.
The statement reads: “Mr. Muttaqi expressed hope for enhancing diplomatic relations, creating facilities for issuing visas to businessmen, patients, and students.”
In the meeting, the Indian Deputy FM also expressed India’s interest in expanding political and economic relations with Afghanistan, as well as collaborating on infrastructure projects.
Two days ago, Amir Khan Muttaqi led a high-level delegation to the United Arab Emirates.
