The Ministry of Justice of the Islamic Emirate has announced that government employees are prohibited from holding official positions in two different government departments simultaneously.
In a statement released on Thursday, January 16, Barakatullah Rasuli, spokesperson for the ministry, clarified that this decision was made based on the directive of the Islamic Emirate’s leader Hebatullah Akhundzada.
The statement reads: “No individual, whether lower-level or senior officials of the Islamic Emirate, can simultaneously hold two official positions.”
The Ministry further emphasized that those currently holding two official positions must resign from one of them.
According to the Ministry, this decree was published in the de-facto government’s official gazette in 2023 but is now being made public for wider awareness.
