MONITORING (SW) – On September 27, marking World Tourism Day, local officials from Panjshir, Parwan, and Kapisa reported that at least 120,000 domestic and international tourists have visited the historical sites and tourist attractions in these three provinces over the past year.
Nasrullah Malekzada, the head of the Information and Culture Directorate in Panjshir, stated that 60,000 tourists explored the province in the past year.
Meanwhile, Shams al-Haq Sediqi, head of the Information and Culture Directorate in Parwan, mentioned that over 30,000 tourists visited this province.
Additionally, Karimullah Wasiq, head of the Information and Culture Directorate in Kapisa, reported approximately 30,000 tourists exploring the tourist attractions of the province.
The most popular sites attracting these visitors include the “Rig Rawaan” hill and the green spaces of Nijrab in Kapisa; Ahmad Shah Masoud’s tomb in Panjshir; and the Topdara Stupa, the banks of the Salang River, and the royal citadel in Jabal al-Siraj in Parwan.
