KABUL/TEHRAN (SW) – Mohammad Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, has traveled to Iran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected President of Iran.
Hamdullah Fetrat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, stated that during this three-day visit, Abdul Kabir will discuss the expansion of political, economic, and commercial relations, as well as addressing issues related to Afghan migrants with Iranian officials.
The inauguration ceremony for Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30.
Iranian media reported that 70 foreign delegations from various countries and international organizations have confirmed their attendance.
Iran maintains strong relations with the Islamic Emirate and has the highest volume of trade with Afghanistan.
Over the past three years, officials from the Islamic Emirate have frequently traveled to Iran to enhance political and commercial ties.
