Islamic Emirate announces fresh appointments at key posts

KABUL (SW) – Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the de-facto government, stated new appointments had been made to a ministry and a number of departments based on the decree of Hebatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate.

He noted in a statement on his official X account that Hedayatullah Badri, the former head of the Afghanistan Central Bank/Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), has been appointed as the acting head of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and Nooruddin Torabi, the former deputy head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, as the head of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority.

Mujahid added that Shahabuddin Delawar, former head of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, has been appointed as the head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society and Mati Al-Haq Khalis, the former head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, as the head of the National Environmental Protection Agency.

Noor Ahmad Agha, former first deputy director of the Central Bank of Afghanistan, has been appointed as the head of the bank and Qudratullah Jamal, former deputy minister of Commerce and Industry, as deputy minister of tourism, finance and administration of the Ministry of Information and Culture.

According to the decree of Hebatullah Akhundzada, Ahmadullah Zahid, acting head of the Anti-Economic Corruption Directorate of the General Directorate of Intelligence, was appointed as the deputy minister of Commerce and Industry affairs of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Hafez Aziz Al-Rahman, the former head of the National Environmental Protection Agency, was appointed as the deputy head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
