KABUL (SW) – Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, the former Vice President of Indonesia and the current President of the Indonesian Mosque Council, has announced that Indonesia is interested in investing in various sectors in Afghanistan, particularly education and mining.
On Monday, in a statement on its X account, the Arg (Presidential Palace) reported that Jusuf Kalla expressed this intention during a meeting with Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate.
He assured ongoing cooperation from Indonesia to Afghanistan.
Citing Jusuf Kalla, the statement also mentioned that Indonesia plans to offer educational scholarships to Afghan youth, highlighting a commitment to support the education sector in Afghanistan.
Jusuf Kalla, in his separate meetings over the past two days with officials from the Islamic Emirate, discussed a range of topics, reaffirming Indonesia’s interest in contributing to Afghanistan’s development through investments and educational support.
