Islamabad to host Iran-Pakistan security meeting on Afghanistan

KABUL (SW) – The Iran-Pakistan security meeting is set to be held in Pakistan on Monday, January 15, to review the security situation and threats from Afghanistan, Iranian media reported.

According to reports, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s Ambassador and Special Representative for Afghanistan, has left for Islamabad at the official invitation of Asif Durrani, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, at the head of a high-level delegation to participate in the Iran-Pakistan security meeting.

During Islamabad visit, Qomi is supposed to meet Jalil Abbas Jilani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Interim Government of Pakistan and discuss bilateral issues and important security developments in the region.
