He adds: “We walk for 14 hours from Samangan to Dara Souf. We follow the same road until the end, the road is broken. It is full of bumps and bumpy. Its gutters are broken and it has a dirt road. The hood of the car gets covered with the dirt, we are facing many problems.”

On the other hand, a number of local elders in Upper and Lower Dara Souf district also say that it is more than 130 kilometers from the center of Samangan to the here, and the damage to the road makes the residents of these two districts face many challenges and problems.

Abdul Ahmed, one of the tribal elders, says: “Where you and I are standing is the end of the road, which is more than 130 kilometers long from here to the district. Other villages around this road are three-four hours away by car. Some have ways and some don’t, many of us are facing many problems.”

Mohammadullah Beyk, another local elder, also says: “This road is broken as far as you go. People are really facing many problems. Especially in winter, people face many problems. Especially those who are sick, they cannot transfer their sick from one place to another.”

However, the officials of road maintenance and care in Samangan Public Works Department say that this department has started the work of reconstruction and graveling of this road, and with the provision of funds, the asphalting work will also begin.
