SAR-E-POL (SW) – The Pala valley with its roaring waterfalls and natural springs has become a hot spot for domestic tourists.
This steep valley, which hosts hundreds of tourists every day, is located in Gosfandi district of Sarpul province. A number of tourists praise the weather and natural attractions of the valley; but they emphasize on providing more facilities and reconstruction of this valley by the caretaker government.
The officials of the information and culture department accept the challenges in the valley and talk about providing better facilities and solving the challenges in the near future.
A number of domestic tourists who came to the valley in Gosfandi district for the purpose of recreation and tourism, say that the natural attractions and heartwarming views of this valley are worth visiting again and again. Tourists consider the damage of the road, the lack of facilities and well-equipped restaurants as the major challenges of this valley and ask the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate to pay serious attention to this issue.
Navid, who came from Balkh to the valley for recreation and tourism, told to Salam Watandar: “Our homeland has many places to visit. Yesterday, we were in Faryab and today we came to Pala valley, we really enjoyed sightseeing and recreation. The road was difficult and there were no facilities, but the waterfalls and springs of the valley are pleasant and beautiful.”
Ahmad Javid, who came from Nangarhar to Pala Valley for recreation and tourism, also says: “There is no problem anymore, the road of Pala Valley should be renovated and a restaurant and clinic should be established. We came here with our friends for sightseeing and fun. It has good weather and atmosphere. Really, every place in the homeland is lovely.”
According to tourists, providing more facilities and conveniences in recreational places and ancient sites will bring good income to the government’s coffers and lead the country to self-sufficiency..
Officials in the Sarpol Information and Culture Department accept the road damage and the challenges in the valley, but they say that efforts are being made to rebuild and provide better welfare facilities.
Fakhreddin Omir Sarpoli, head of information and culture department of Sarpol, says that efforts are being made to provide facilities in ancient and recreational places that host hundreds of tourists every day.
He adds: “We accept the challenges and the damage of the road to the recreational places and ancient areas, and we are trying to solve these challenges soon with the cooperation of the Ministry of Information and Culture and the local authorities, God willing.”
Based on the statements of the local officials of Sar Pol, this province has dozens of natural attractions and thousands of people come to this province daily for recreation and tourism.
