Low-quality petroleum sent back to Uzbekistan

KABUL (SW) – Officials at the norm and standard directorate in Balkh’s Hiraitan port say that they have sent 76 tankers of low-quality oil back to Uzbekistan.
Ghulam Yahya Luqman, the head of the directorate, said that he sent this “diesel” oil back to Uzbekistan on Sunday after checking and evaluating it in the laboratory.
According to Luqman, about 64 tons of diesel fuel was placed in each tanker. He also emphasized that he will stop the importation of low-quality oil through this port.
He added that this poor quality oil was imported to Afghanistan by the officials of a company named Salim Khan Company.
Before this, along with the return of low-quality oil from different ports of the country, low-quality medicines, food and other goods were also sent back to the countries that the traders had imported to Afghanistan.
