Direct flights between Balkh and Istanbul begins operating

MAZAR-E-SHARIF (SW) – Local authorities in Balkh have announced that direct flights from the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of this province, to the city of Istanbul in Turkey have officially started.

In a newsletter, the official of Balkh province said that direct flights between Mazar-e-Sharif and Istanbul started on Wednesday.

According to the newsletter, in the first flight, 139 people have traveled to Istanbul through Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi Airport in Mazar-e-Sharif. After the return of the Islamic Emirate, this is the first time that direct flights from Mazar-e-Sharif to Istanbul have been carried out for transport passengers.

The security officials in Balkh said that the responsibility of transporting passengers from Balkh to Turkey has been taken by Kamair.

According to officials, the purpose of starting direct flights between Mazar-i-Sharif and Istanbul is to facilitate the transportation of passengers.
