According to Momin’s information, Afghanistan witnessed 56 positive cases of polio in 2020, four in 2021 and two positive cases in 2022.

This comes as the government has decided to start the sub-campaign of anti-polio vaccine in 23 provinces of the country on Monday. According to officials, 6.4 million Afghan children will be vaccinated during this period of polio vaccination.

It should be noted that Afghanistan and Pakistan are still the only two countries in the world where polio has not been eradicated.
