Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid meets the VP of the UAE

KABUL (SW) – The Acting Minister of Defense, Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, has met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai.

According to the defense ministry, in this meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged views on the strengthening of relations between the two countries and the facilitation of commercial services for the businessmen of the two countries and other important issues.

A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Government of the Islamic Emirate confirmed the meeting between the Acting Minister of the Ministry, Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, and Thomas West, the United States Special Representative for Afghanistan.

The ministry said in a statement that during his trip to the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Mujahid met and talked with Thomas West in the city of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. In this meeting, the two sides discussed the issues of Afghanistan.

In this meeting, the Acting Minister of Defense assured the US Special Representative that “Afghanistan is safe and all the border points are secure, and there is no threat from within the territory of Afghanistan to the countries of the region or the world, and there will be no threat from the territory of Afghanistan against anyone.”

Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid went to the United Arab Emirates on Saturday at the head of a delegation.
