On the other hand, the representatives of a number of international organizations assured of their efforts to address the situation of migrants and displaced persons and reduce the migration of Afghan citizens.
“We want to help the displaced and returnees, as well as those who are vulnerable, across Afghanistan, and we will continue to do so,” said Henry Koonen, the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Afghanistan Deputy Director.
Mina Kuma, representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), said: “We are trying to help the Afghan people stay in their country. We want immigration to be controlled and the migration process to be reduced. Afghan people should not be discriminated anywhere, and we provide assistance to all Afghan citizens, regardless of race and position.”
