Five people killed in a road accident in Kunduz

KUNDUZ (SW) – At least five people have lost their lives in a road accident in Kunduz province, confirmed officials. 

Kunduz security officials have told Salam Watandar that five people lost their lives and 28 others were injured as a result of a passenger bus overturning in “Zanjir Kish Tobak” area of Aliabad district in the province.

Jumauddin Khaksar, the spokesman of the Kunduz Security Command, said that this incident took place around 2:00 am on Sunday on the Kunduz-Baghlan highway.

According to Mr. Khaksar, the bus was travelling from Kabul to Kunduz.

The spokesman of the Kunduz Security Command added that five people, including two children, died and 28 others were injured in this incident.

According to him, all the dead bodies and the injured of this incident have been transferred to Kunduz regional hospital.

He said that among the wounded, the condition of 10 people is reported to be critical.

The spokesman of the Kunduz Security Command did not say anything about the cause of this incident.
