2,100 criminal incidents across the country in two and a half months

KABUL (SW) – Officials of the Ministry of Interior Affairs said on Wednesday that at least 2,100 criminal incidents have been reported across the country, of which 1,625 incidents have been addressed.

Abdul Nafee Takour, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, said in a press conference on Wednesday that in the last two and a half months, 2,675 people have been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Emirate for involvement in criminal events, and nearly 206 other accused are on the run.

“These people face various charges such as kidnapping, murder, armed robbery, rape, adultery, usurpation of property, use of alcoholic beverages, human trafficking, drug trafficking, deception, carrying illegal weapons and running away from home. have been arrested.”

Meanwhile, citizens are complaining about the increase in criminal events, especially armed robberies.

Shakib, a resident of Kabul, told Salam Watandar that he has narrowly survived an armed snatching of his mobile phone. “Also, one of my friends was robbed of all his money and possessions on the way to Mazar-e-Sharif and thrown down of the bus.”

Mujib al-Rahman, another resident of Kabul, said thefts, suicides and explosions have increased during these days and nights. “We ask the Islamic Emirate to pay serious attention to the security of the people.”

It should be noted that the occurrence of criminal incidents in the country has increased in recent months, and every day, one or more criminal incidents are reported from one of the provinces.
