FAIZABAD (SW) – Residents of Badakhshan’s Pamir district will have access to telecommunication services for the first time, said officials on Sunday.
Bakhtar state news agency stated on its Twitter page that Nurullah Nouri, Acting Minister of Border Affairs and Tribes, in a meeting with the representative of the Pamiri people of Badakhshan province, said that the request to activate a telecommunication network in the Pamir has been accepted.
Mr. Nouri added that with the activation of this network, Pamir residents will have access to telecommunication services in the near future.
