Akhundzada directs judges to enforce limits, retribution

KABUL (SW) – Hibatullah Akhundzada, top leader of the Islamic Emirate, has directed judges in courts to implement limits and retribution across the country to curb crimes, said an official.

According to Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, this message was delivered by the top leader while addressing the judges. “Investigate the cases of thieves, kidnappers and seditionists properly”, directed Akhundzada.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate further said that Hibatullah Akhundzada has recommended to the judges that the cases that have met all the conditions of limitation and retribution should be executed.

He added that Akhundzada told the judges that those cases that have met all the Shari’a conditions of limitation and retribution, they are obliged to issue limitation and retribution on them. “… because this is the order of the Shariat and my command, and it is obligatory that you follow it”.

The spokesman did not share details about the time and venue for these remarks of Akhundzada.

Following this order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate, the officials in the Supreme Court of Afghanistan announced their readiness to seriously and fully implement the limits and retribution.

Abdul Rahim Rashid, the public information officer of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan, told Salam Watandar that after this, judges across the country will be obliged to apply ‘hudud and qisas’ to the convicts without considering other cases.

“The cases are pending and the Supreme Court is acting. So far, all the files have not been reviewed, as soon as their work is completed, the current limit will become clear. The officials of the Islamic Emirate act according to the Islamic commandments and the principles of Sharia, other matters are not taken into account”.
