Top Chinese diplomat blames the US for the prevailing situation in Afghanistan

KABUL (SW) – Top Chinese diplomat in Kabul has blamed the US for the prevailing situation in Afghanistan.

Wang Yu, the Chinese ambassador in Kabul, criticized the ‘irresponsible’ withdrawal of the United States of America from Afghanistan in a joint press conference with the Ministry of State for Disaster Management officials on Tuesday.

The Chinese ambassador said that when Americans came to Afghanistan, the citizens of Afghanistan faced problems, and now with the ‘irresponsible’ withdrawal of this country, the people’s problems have doubled.

He also criticizes the freezing of Afghanistan’s state assets by the United States of America and said Washington has caused problems in addition to not helping to improve the situation in Afghanistan.

The Chinese ambassador emphasized that America should take responsibility for its actions in Afghanistan. He stated that his country does not seek personal interests in Afghanistan and has a non-intervention policy.

These statements of the Chinese ambassador in Kabul come at a time when Iran’s special representative for Afghanistan made similar remarks.

However, a number of political experts believe that the statements by officials of China and Iran are caused by the enmity of these countries with America. They want the countries of the region to persuade the caretaker government in Kabul to accept the terms of the international community in order to improve the situation in Afghanistan.

Tariq Farhadi, an expert on political issues, said China and Iran should be of the opinion that the caretaker government of Afghanistan should reconsider its treatment of women and youth and allow girls to study in order to be recognized by the international community.

More than ten months have passed since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, so far no country has recognized the caretaker government, and there are increasing concerns about the deterioration of the situation in Afghanistan, especially the economic situation of the people.
