KABUL (SW) – The religious scholars gathered at the Loya Jirga tent for a three-day conference have pledged allegiance to Maulavi Hebatullah Ahundzada, the supreme leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
At the end of the grand gathering of the Afghan Ulama, which lasted for three days, the participants announced their support for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan by endorsing an 11-point resolution. According to the resolution, the participants pledged allegiance to Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, the leader of the Islamic Emirate.
In this resolution, the participants of the gathering have asked the world community and international organizations, especially Islamic countries and organizations, to recognize the Islamic Emirate as a legitimate government, to have a positive interaction with it, to remove all sanctions on Afghanistan and unfreeze the state assets of the Afghan people and support in the reconstruction and economic progress of Afghanistan.
On the other hand, the participants at the end of the meeting said that they support the order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate to prevent the cultivation and trafficking of drugs and asked the neighboring countries, the region and the world not to interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.
It was expected that this resolution would clearly mention the reopening of girls’ schools above the sixth grade; But in the ninth article of this resolution, among other things, education and women’s rights are generally mentioned.
In the three-day gathering of Afghan scholars, two of the participants emphasized on women’s education.
After Sayyid Nasrullah Vaezi, one of the participants of the gathering of scholars, supported the education of women on the first day of the meeting, today Farooq Azam, the adviser of the Ministry of Energy and Water, also supported the education of women and girls and said that the gates of girls’ schools above the sixth grade should be reopened soon.
“Closing the door of science and knowledge on women and girls is not useful … the issue of educating girls is a Sharia issue, these are the people who paved the way for the emirate and sacrificed, do not deprive them of knowledge.”
Dr. Abdul Sattar Ghafoor, one of the participants of this gathering, said that the Afghan society needs female specialists in various sectors.
It should be mentioned that the big gathering of Afghan scholars started on Thursday last week and 4,595 people participated in this gathering.
