KABUL (SW) – The online passport registration process has commenced, the General Directorate of Passports of the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate announced on Saturday.
According to the department, the Central Passport Office is active only in Kabul and its offices in the provinces remain closed.
The General Directorate of Passports has said that applicants from any province can fill out the application form online on its website.
According to the announcement, online registration is active 24 hours a day, but the daily acceptance capacity is limited to 2,000 requests.
According to the promise of the General Directorate of Passports, online registration of passports and their distribution in all provinces was to start last week, but this promise was not fulfilled.
The process of issuing and processing the documents of passport applicants was stopped at the end of March in the capital and provinces.
