Extraction work at Qashqari oil field commences

SAR-I-PUL (SW) – The extraction work at Qashqari oil field in Sar-i-Pul province has commenced. 

Mufti Fakhreddin Umayr, head of information and culture in the province, told Salam Watandar that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the deputy prime minister inaugurated the Qashqari oil field.

According to the head of information and culture, there are currently 10 oil wells in the Qashqari area, of which 9 are active. He added that with the start of Qashqari oil extraction work, a revenue worth some $ 150,000 a day would make it to the government’s kitty.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade wrote on Twitter that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the first deputy prime minister, had paid an official visit to Sar-i-Pul province today with a group of officials from the Islamic Emirate.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Qashqari block has 10 oil wells, the extraction of which will start from 9 wells.
