Analysts warn of Pakistan’s proxy war inside Afghanistan

MONITORING (SW) – Analysts believe authorities of the Islamic Emirate need to be vigilant against evil plans by Pakistan to execute proxy war inside Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry said on Monday that terrorists were attacking its troops from inside Afghanistan. However, political analysts believe that proxy wars and insecurities have increased in Pakistan, and with such statements, Pakistani officials want to transfer the war to Afghanistan.

Mahmoud Heydari, a political and intelligence affairs expert, said that the US circles are active in Pakistan’s new government, and there are some groups inside Afghanistan that are committed to Pakistan and working in Pakistan’s interests.

According to Heydari, in such a situation, it is necessary that the Islamic Emirate does not become prey to Pakistani policies.

He added that the reopening of girls’ schools, harassment, arrests and killings of former officers and soldiers were being carried out by Pakistani supporters at the request of the country so that the Islamic Emirate would face a difficult fate.

“It is as if a proxy war has broken out in Pakistan and terrorist attacks have increased in that country,” said Mahmoud Heydari. “They want to take this war to the next level and tell the world that these attacks are being carried out against us from Afghanistan, but the world is aware of Pakistan’s intentions.”

Abdul Wahid Taqat, another security and intelligence affairs expert, agrees, saying that as in the past, a number of terrorist groups have been trained in Pakistan with the support of some American and international circles, and for specific purposes in countries such as Afghanistan and other countries were used, and now US intelligence units have been relocated to Pakistan.

According to him, Pakistan, at the request of other countries, repeatedly thwarted peace plans and paved the way for interim governments. “Pakistan is funding ISIS and al-Qaeda, and US special commanders are now at Pakistani military bases to figure out how to attack Afghanistan,” Mr Taqat added.

On the other hand, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, has said that the problems along the Durand Line are not of military nature, and must be resolved through diplomacy. “We will not allow anyone to use Afghan territory against other countries or pose a threat to Pakistan from our territory,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that a number of countries have expressed concerns several times before that the territory of Afghanistan should not be used for the activities of terrorist groups and threats from other countries.
