Analysts see no early signs for recognition of Islamic Emirate internationally

KABUL (SW) – China has become the latest following Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Qatar and Russia to recognize the appointment of Afghan diplomats by the Islamic Emirate.

A number of political analysts believe that countries with embassies in Kabul have accepted diplomats from the Islamic Emirate to advance their own affairs. They say that these countries have not yet accepted an ambassador from the Islamic Emirate and that it will not be recognized until the national and international demands are accepted and implemented in Afghanistan.

Tariq Farhadi, an analyst and political analyst, told Salam Watandar that the countries that have embassies in Kabul have called on the Islamic Emirate to form a comprehensive government at various regional and international forums. According to him, the ambassador of the Islamic Emirate will not be accepted until this condition is met. “Until the reforms are introduced in Kabul, they will not accept the Afghan ambassador to their capital.”

Shuja Maasher, another expert on political issues, considers the closure of girls’ schools above the sixth grade and the non-participation of women in society and the overall structure of government as the main signs that the Islamic Emirate has not fulfilled the preconditions of the international community. He said the caretaker government has not acted on what the international community expected from the Islamic Emirate.

On the other hand, Shirdel Passon, another political analyst, says that in addition to the implementation of global demands, problems inside Afghanistan have also prevented the recognition of the Islamic Emirate. Noting that a number of Afghan politicians and factions have not yet accepted the Islamic Emirate, he said that the Islamic Emirate should resolve its internal problems through dialogue with its opponents.

It is worth mentioning that nearly eight months have passed since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate government in the country, but this government has not yet been recognized by any country.
