In his Eid Day message, Akhunzada calls for Islamic Emirate’s recognition

KABUL (SW) – Hebatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, said in a message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr that Afghanistan has a role to play in world peace and security, and based on this need, the international community should recognize the Islamic Emirate government.

In this message, which was issued by Zabihullah Mujahid, he said that the Islamic Emirate wants good and positive relations with all neighboring countries and the region, as well as the international community.

More than eight months have passed since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, but no country has yet recognized this government.

Hebatullah Akhundzadah’s message states that the Islamic Emirate does not allow Afghanistan to pose a threat to another country. However, he called on the international community to interact well, positively and with mutual respect with the Islamic Emirate.

Akhundzada stressed upon the implementation of the Doha agreement between the Islamic Emirate and the United States, adding that the United States should not interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs under the agreement. According to him, the United States should cooperate with the government of the Islamic Emirate instead of putting pressure.

In a part, Hebatullah Akhundzada’s message states that the Islamic Emirate has declared a general amnesty to all its opponents, but if anyone tries to “rebel” against this general amnesty and start another war in the country, he will face a “decisive and serious reaction.”

The leader of the Islamic Emirate added that a good investment environment has been provided in the country and called on domestic and foreign investors to invest in various sectors in Afghanistan. He also stressed the need for reconstruction and called on the people to take part in it.

Akhundzada called on Afghanistan’s neighbors and other countries to have a good relationship with Afghan migrants based on international principles and to give them the opportunity to return to the country of their own free will. He also called on the United Nations and other international bodies to provide a safe return for Afghan refugees.

On the other hand, the leader of the Islamic Emirate said in his message that the cultivation of narcotics in Afghanistan is “absolutely” banned and the Islamic Emirate is trying to provide farmers with alternative cultivation. Akhundzada said that the Islamic Emirate respects all the religious rights of men and women, and that others should not use this human and emotional issue as a tool for their own political purposes.

He also said that the Islamic Emirate is committed to freedom of expression “in the light of national interests and Islamic values” and “supports healthy and positive publications.”

The leader of the Islamic Emirate said that they are working to “strengthen the flow of education” and to open schools and colleges in different parts of the country to promote religious and “modern” education.

The Islamic Emirate has closed schools to female students in the sixth grade and above since taking control of Afghanistan more than eight months ago. The Islamic Emirate has recently announced that it is building between 3 and 10 religious schools across every district in the country.

Some international human rights organizations, however, have called on the Islamic Emirate to allow girls to go to school instead of building religious schools.

The leader of the Islamic Emirate in his Eid message, however, did not mention the victims of the recent deadly attacks in Kabul, Balkh and Kunduz. Akhundzada added in his message that with the dominance of the Islamic Emirate over Afghanistan, security has been ensured throughout the country and the flames of war have been extinguished.
