KABUL (SW) – The Civil Aviation Authority has announced that the Kabul – Doha flights will resume as per normal operations after the prolonged delay.
The CAA said in a press release that the flights by the Afghan airlines and thee Qatar Airways will be operated on this route twice a week.
Meanwhile, the Qatari foreign minister announced in an interview with the media on Monday that his country has agreed with the Islamic Emirate to resume evacuation flights for foreign nationals and vulnerable Afghans.
The media quoted Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani as saying that two flights per week had been agreed with the Islamic Emirate and that these flights would be operated by the Qatar Airways.
Meanwhile, Qatari officials have said that the first evacuation flight from Kabul to Doha took place on January 26 after a two-month suspension.
