Cabinet ministers introduce new rules on tax collection

KABUL (SW) – The cabinet ministers of the Islamic Emirate has decided that tax and non-tax revenues should be collected only through banks, and no department has the right to spend its revenues on its own.

The decision was made at the 22nd cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate, chaired by Abdul Salam Hanafi, the second deputy prime minister.

The meeting also approved the return of passenger buses on the Jalalabad – Peshawar and Kandahar – Quetta routes and instructed the relevant departments to complete the remaining stages of this process.

The cabinet ministers of the Islamic Emirate has also instructed the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled of the Islamic Emirate to prepare a plan to help the disabled soldiers of the previous government, paralyzed people and orphans.

A delegation led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the Islamic Emirate has also been appointed to determine the land for foreign investors in the agricultural sector and submit its studies.

Earlier, the second deputy prime minister of the Islamic Emirate government, in a meeting on the occasion of tax collection week, emphasized on transparent tax collection and ensured that the government of the Islamic Emirate does not waste a penny of the collected revenues. It called for economic growth and meeting the needs of society.
