IE forces directed not to shoot at suspects

KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has instructed the Kabul Police Command in a five-point instruction that the security forces must not shoot anyone during the inspection.

The directive states that the security forces of the Islamic Emirate should treat the citizens well while performing their duties and not cause them any problems. According to the guidelines, the forces of the Islamic Emirate are advised to refrain from harassing, insulting and beating suspects during security and criminal incidents.

The Ministry of Interior, which sent the order to the Kabul Police Command, also stated that the forces of the Islamic Emirate have no right to inspect anyone’s house without a court order or under the pretext of monitoring the accused’s house.

The directive also instructs the military of the Islamic Emirate to perform their duties in the presence of lawyers from the district, constituency and district in broad daylight and to respect the religious rights of ordinary people and the accused.

At the end of this guideline, it is stated that those who violate the above-mentioned cases will be dealt with immediately.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) is communicating the directive to the Kabul Police Command, where there have been recent reports of harassment by Islamic Emirate forces during inspections.

The Islamic Emirate forces fired on an auto-rickshaw during an inspection in Kandahar this week, killing one woman and wounding two others.
