Cabinet approves design for the forces’ uniform

KABUL (SW) – The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s cabinet of ministers has approved the design for the security forces’ uniform, said an official statement.

The cabinet of the Islamic Emirate, in a meeting chaired by Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, today approved the design of a special uniform for the police under the Ministry of Interior with minor changes, it said.

It was decided in the cabinet that the uniforms assigned to the police belonging to the Ministry of Interior should be provided as soon as possible and distributed to the soldiers. The police uniform of the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate has not been shown to the media so far and no pictures of it have been published.

The forces of the Islamic Emirate do not have special uniforms and some of them carry out their duties in the city and districts in military and some in traditional Afghan attire.

This comes as many citizens are urging the officials of the Islamic Emirate to provide special uniforms to their soldiers in order to distinguish them from the general public.

Earlier, it was reported that due to the lack of special uniforms for the military of the Islamic Emirate, some people misused the name of the Islamic Emirate and caused many problems to the people.
