KABUL (SW) – Authorities claimed to have arrested the main culprits behind the rocket attacks on the presidential palace during the Eid prayers earlier this week.
Interior Ministry officials said on Sunday that the special units of police arrested the mastermind of the rocket attacks along with three of his companions.
The ministry spokesman Mirwais Stanekzai said the men had been detained in a targeted operation in the fifth district of Kabul. The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior mentioned Momen as the main designer and said that he had been involved in several targeted terrorist attacks in Paghman district of Kabul as well.

Mirwais Stanekzai added that the detainees are all members of the Taliban.
On Tuesday, when the Eid prayer was being held at the Presidential Palace, at least three rocket-propelled grenades were fired at the citadel.
The ministry said at the time that the rockets landed in the first and second security zones around the palace, but did not cause any casualties.
